On our recent road trip to Charleston from Tampa we made a pit stop on the way up to stop in Savannah, Georgia for lunch and a scenic walk. This was my first time in Savannah and I did not want to leave! So far this is the most charming southern city I’ve been to. It is so walkable and there are so many shops, restaurants, and squares located in the downtown historic district.
We parked on the street and walked to Collins Quarter for lunch (photos below of my bomb avocado toast) which had exposed brick walls and large windows with a vintage vibe. After that we walked around for a couple hours popping into boutiques, looking at all the squares, and hunting down Forrest Gump movie spots for Z’s amusement.
I will definitely be back to Savannah soon to spend a weekend there because I didn’t get my fill in the few hours we stopped in. Also, the five hour drive from Tampa flew by!

If you’re headed to Savannah soon, have so much fun and leave plenty of time to walk around! It’s such a beautiful city to stroll aimlessly through to soak in all of the beauty and history.
