Last weekend I took an afternoon trip to Sarasota, FL with one of my good friends to check off some items on my wedding planning list (it’s so hard not to spill the details to you all). When we set out for Sarasota we really only had one stop planned which was to go to the Camilyn Beth Studio to see some of her dress designs. Neither of us had spent much time in Sarasota. We were pleasantly surprised by all that the quaint downtown area had to offer: the hospitality, great shops, and restaurants.
FIRST STOP: THE CAMILYN BETH STUDIO
When we arrived we were awestruck by just how gorgeous the studio was, I mean come on I wanted to move in! I kept telling my friend that I felt like I was in Europe because of the windows, the view, and the French music filling the air. Everyone we met at the studio was delightful. We even had the pleasure of chatting with Camilyn herself who is such a sweetheart.
I have been admiring her work via Instagram for years now and I was giddy to finally see it in person! It was so hard to make any decisions because I love so many of the colors and styles she makes! If you haven’t seen her work yet you definitely have to check out her website and I also found this sweet little interview Camilyn did on The Every Girl so you can get to know what her brand is all about.

When we were wrapping things up at the CB Studio Camilyn gave us some recommendations for places to stop for a bite to eat. One of her recommendations was the Artisan Cheese Company on Main Street which is where we headed next!
NEXT STOP: FOOD
We were warmly greeted by the shop owner and another employee and immediately felt at home. We ordered a cheese board and two glasses of Rosé because that is the recipe for happiness. We let the employees work their magic and surprise us with the cheese selection. The presentation was beautiful and it tasted even better! The seating inside is family style so there is one large farm table with a few seats around it which makes for new friends if there are other patrons in the store. We sat and enjoyed the food and conversation for a bit while enjoying watching the foot traffic coming through the shop picking up cheeses and breads.
This was such an unexpectedly fun day! I cannot wait to go back to Sarasota and order that cheeseboard again because it was amazing. I also want to explore the downtown more. I had been to Marina Jack before on another day trip you can see my brief post here #throwback. If you have any recommendations for my next trip to Sarasota please leave them in the comments below!
Also, my friend who went with me on this trip is moving to Raleigh next month which I am so sad about because I will miss her terribly. It was so great to have her here in Florida still to do some wedding related things like this together. But I am SO excited for her and her new opportunity working with another pro sports team up in NC. If any of my readers are from the Raleigh area feel free to send me recommendations to pass along to her for when she moves! (Love you Kiki!)
Sending Sunshine,
Sara
