I have officially made the transition to full-time Floridian and I guess it isn’t so bad after all 😉 My apartment is in a historic neighborhood which has the most gorgeous houses that I drool over on my nightly walks with Jax and also scope out the best ones for my blog photos like this! As for my outfit, I am a firm believer that certain white pieces shouldn’t be worn before Memorial Day (thanks Mom) so now that we’re in the clear I am celebrating with this head to toe white look paired with my Lilly Pulitzer Florida print Murfee scarf!
I think every gal (and guy) should have a white button up in their closet because it is such a versatile staple. You can wear it with dress pants or a pencil skirt, under a sweater, with jeans, open with a tee underneath, or even as a bathing suit cover–you need one! My bottoms are high waisted white skinny jeans, I really don’t like how low rise pants feel so when I found high waisted skinnies it was life changing to say the least (ok, I exaggerate a bit). Have you heard the good news? You can now shop my posts! All the items I am wearing or similar are linked below for your convenience. Just scroll through the images below and click on the ones you want to be directed to the item listing for purchase.
I hope you are having a fabulous Tuesday! As always, I love to hear your feedback so please leave some love in the comments below!

Hi Sara –
I loved your post and want to link to you through my blog. I had to giggle at the (thanks mom) part of this post!
My family moved me here from New England in 1968 and because of my mom I still won’t wear white past Labor Day! I smile thinking about how upset my mom would get when we went out to eat and she saw someone in the restaurant wearing SHORTS! LOL – she never adjusted to the casualness that’s Florida living and was always the over-dressed ‘fancy’ girl.
I just wrote a post about summers in New England, and shared the recipe for a Lemon Cake I baked to connect with those memories. My kids had a great life growing up Floridians but I am a little sad they do not know what a New England childhood was like.
Welcome to the BEST state in the U.S. and know that no matter how old you get, New England will never leave your soul.
With a smile from Carlyn OffTheSidewalk in Tampa 🙂
