SHOP THE POST
Happy Monday friends! I hope you had a great weekend and got some rest. I had a very relaxing Saturday morning and then spent the afternoon looking at houses with Z. Still no luck! I spent a good part of Sunday shooting blog photos for my friend Kylie which is always fun, and luckily the storm held off just long enough for us to get everything we needed accomplished!

I got these over the knee boots in a couple weeks ago from the Nordstrom sale and I was trying to challenge myself to go a little bit outside my comfort zone to try something new. I’ve worn these with jeans and this skirt so far. I’m trying to find the perfect dress to pair them with, I’m thinking this one might be a good match!
As for monochromatic outfits, they’re something I do very rarely. Not to mention wearing dark colors like this! Florida winters are hot, so I try to dress for the weather outside while keeping the season in mind. I wear darker colors, but the pieces are breathable (for the most part). Textures are also important. Fall/Winter textures are corduroy, suede, cable knit, wool, leather, any knits, etc. I really like to incorporate these into outfits that are fit for warmer temps like this one! It’s all about finding the happy medium.
I’ll certainly be packing these boots and my saddle bag for my trip to NYC! I can’t wait to wear my favorite coat again! I think I may snag these boots for the trip also, what do you think?
