LOFT TRY-ON HAUL
So I went into LOFT last night to grab another pair of their petite modern skinny jeans and ended up trying on half of the store. I linked everything I’m wearing below and give you the sizing info to the best of my ability below each photo. Right now everything is 40% off online and in-stores and it is double points if you have a LOVELOFT card!
If you’re here to read the life update part of this post then scroll past the photos to the bottom!
*I pointed my phone at the eclipse this summer and it messed up the camera so I apologize for all of the black specs you’ll see in the photos. It’s not dirty mirrors!*
Get this embroidered sleeve top HERE. Get my phone case HERE.
Sizing: Fits true to size. I am wearing a size medium.
Get the this knit tee HERE or get it in solid colors HERE
Sizing: I normally wear a size medium which is what I am wearing here, but I could’ve done a small for a tighter fit.
Get this pink blouse HERE and find the wrap skirt HERE
Sizing: I am wearing a size medium in the blouse and it’s a very loose fit. As for the skirt I am wearing a petite size (I went up two sizes from my normal jeans size and one size up from my normal LOFT petite jeans size).
Find these jeans HERE! You can find my shoes HERE.
Sizing: I wear LOFT’s petite jeans and for these you’ll want to go up a size from your normal jeans size. These are my favorite jeans ever and I own about 5 pairs. I am 5’3″ and you can see they fall right at my ankle. Their regular jeans are about 4-5″ too long on me (too long to cuff even).
As for the shoes, I went up a whole size. I normally wear an 8.5 and I bought the 9.5’s although I probably could’ve gone with 10’s which is crazy! So I recommend going up 1-1.5 sizes as they run small and are narrow.
You can find this sweater HERE.
Sizing: I am wearing a size medium sweater above and it is a very loose fit which is how it’s intended to be worn.
You can find this top HERE.
Sizing: I am wearing a size medium and it fits true to size.
LIFE LATELY
Hi guys! As you may or may not have noticed I’ve been pretty quiet around here lately. Sometimes I just need to take a step back and regroup in order to be able to put my best self out there for you and for me! Because honestly, blogging can get very overwhelming at times. I put a lot of pressure and expectations on myself in general and then to have thousands of readers that I don’t want to disappoint on top of that can get pretty overwhelming too apart from all of my daily/real life stressers!
Which is why by the end of September I was starting to feel burnt out and discouraged. It’s hard to look at all the successful girls out there running their blogs, posting new content every day, and on social media because honestly I can’t keep up with that! Even if I kill myself trying it is just not possible for me to keep that up long term with my life at present and lead a well-balanced life. Some nights I’m sitting at home after an 8 hour work day in my jammies by 8pm and all I want to do is spend time with my boys and not think about instagram. I don’t think it’s healthy to feel so obligated to post on instagram and stay up until 2am (like I’m doing right now) to try to get a post up. But that’s the reality of blogging especially if you work a full-time job like I do! I don’t want to cut into my real life quality time with my loved ones and I don’t want to put out half-ass content because that’s not a true representation of what I am capable of and y’all deserve the best! So, can you see where I’m torn?
Now, don’t get me wrong I am so beyond blessed to have all of you that read my blog and drop me a comment on Instagram to say you hope I’m feeling better after being sick. It’s such an amazing little community that we’ve cultivated together. I think always about how amazing is it that I have managed to connect with YOU and that you found something in my little slice of the internet that keeps you coming back. I appreciate that SO much, more than you know! I just want to be able to give enough attention to my real life (i.e. relationships, working out, family time, time to unwind, etc.) AND also have enough time to give you the kind of content I am super proud of and that you want to read. But sometimes, I don’t think both are possible which leads me to this…
On top of all of that I want to be more transparent with you all! I don’t think I sugar coat anything, ever, but I definitely air on the side of caution when it comes what I share with the world. But sometimes behind the clothes I’m talking about I’m dealing with real life stuff! Like burn out or wedding planning or I get sick or I just can’t stand to see one more photo of myself! So instead of just going silent I think, if you’re cool with it, I’ll give you a little more transparency on my end like I did today! (Ps – Thanks to my girl Lacey for this idea!)
Now, go out there and make the most of this Thursday (I just had to double check that it was Thursday-it is)! To those of you who have been reading for weeks, months, years THANK YOU! Thank you for loving me through my crappy iPhone photos (darn you eclipse), my inconsistent posting, and everything else! For those of you who are new here, I hope you read something today that resonated with you even just a little bit and that you’ll head on back over here again soon!
All my love,
Sara
P.P.S. if you made it this far head over to my Instagram and comment the green heart emoji on my most recent photo so I can thank you personally! <3

I think people will love your transparency. I don’t think any blogger can say they don’t get burnt out from time to time and need to take some “me” time. Blogging can be very taxing, especially when you’re working full-time and still trying to give your blog 110%. It’s a lot of pressure. Those that have been there totally get it. You definitely have to find a balance that works for you and your lifestyle, while giving yourself some much needed attention. P.S- I tried a yoga YouTube video this week for stress/relaxation. It’s 20 minutes long & helps take the edge off when you’ve had a long day. I know I needed it and I bet you’d benefit from it. Have a great day!

Thanks for your understanding, Kaitlyn! Lately I’ve found spin class to be the escape I needed!
