1. Utility Jackets
I am pretty “vanilla” or plain when it comes to the way I dress. I don’t really follow trends to closely and you’ll never see me trying to pull off any crazy looks. I mean, if you’ve been reading for long enough you already know all of this. I just love classic pieces, can ya blame me? BUT a couple years ago I borrowed a friend’s jacket because it was a cold night in Cape Cod and I didn’t bring anything warm to wear. It was a utility jacket (the exact same on as I’m wearing above actually). I NEVER though I could pull this off, but I ended up LOVED it! Probably because it’s olive which is one of my favorite colors! It goes with so many things and they come in a ton of colors now. 2. Fall Colored Bags
I was never bag obsessed until this year, all of a sudden I just can’t get enough. I find myself coming across so many beautiful bags! Some bags can be worn throughout the year, but some just scream fall! I particularly love the color palettes of bags from fall collections. I really want to get an olive suede bag this fall! 3. Statement Sweaters
Statement sweaters have quickly become some of my favorite pieces for fall. I found the one in photo above at J. Crew for $40 before our NYC trip along with another bell sleeved sweater that I got so many compliments on! The bows and frills and sleeves are such a fun way to spice up an otherwise normal wardrobe piece. You can see the original post HERE.

4. Loafers
Penny loafers have always been my tried and true shoe of choice. Growing up going to private school they were basically my only option, but they were so comfortable and always look so put together! In my adult life I still own many pairs of loafers that I wear frequently. Seriously so many people bought these, probably because they are so perfect for fall and the holidays!

5. Flannels
If you don’t own a flannel then you’re missing out! They feel like a warm hug and are great for layering as it gets colder or to wear by itself. Some people even wear them in the summer, like my sister, tied around her waist with jean shorts! I prefer them with jeans and riding boots or under a crew neck sweater.
