ONE. VISIT 5 NEW PLACES
I LOVE to travel! It’s my favorite thing to do actually, whether it’s driving a few hours away to explore a different part of Florida or hopping on a plane to go somewhere far away I am ecstatic! So far this summer Zachary and I have gone to Charleston (Read posts 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5) and Savannah for the first time. We have plans to go to Birmingham (for a wedding) and Knoxville with friends, but we need to solidify plans on our 5th destination. Cuba is a strong contender!
TWO. RENT A BOAT + SPEND A DAY ON THE WATER
I grew up spending a big part of my summer on Cape Cod and we often went fishing on my uncle’s boat or tubing when I was feeling brave (have you seen Jaws?) so I love to be out on the water! In Tampa, there are places where you can rent a boat for the day and put around on the river and/or Bay which I have been wanting to do for awhile now! So I plan to finally do it this summer!
THREE. FINISH SOME PROJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE
This probably sounds like the least exciting thing on this list, but we have been so busy we haven’t had time to put much of a dent in our list yet since we moved in mid-March. We still need to paint the guest room, all the trim, we’re meeting with a contractor to talk about changing the counter tops, and a few other little things like curtains! Ha, exciting stuff! But really I just want to get it all done!
FOUR. SHOOT MY FIRST ROLL OF FILM ON A TRIP
If you didn’t know this about me I LOVE photography. So much so that I started taking photos for a lot of other bloggers which you can see HERE. I shoot entirely on digital right now, but I am so inspired by film photographers and want to become a hybrid shooter myself! I think it would be so fun to have tangible photos from trips if I were to shoot on film. I have a film camera that my Mom gave me, now I just need to dive in!
FIVE. GO TO THE BEACH
This weekend we went to St. Pete to take the photos for this post which brought us by the beach and Zachary brought up the fact that even though we live in Florida we never make it to the beach. So we’re going to make it a point to get there a few times this summer because we live so close!
