It’s finally here! The long anticipated home tour, well, the first installation of this series at least. After living here for almost three months now the living room is finally finished (with the exception of my work-in-progress gallery wall). For the first couple months I literally just had one couch, a rug, and tv so when I would have company people would have to fit on the floor so I am ecstatic to have the seats for more than three people! Everyone told me not to rush with the furnishings once I moved in because it is a process, especially when moving into my first place after college because I didn’t own any furniture at all! I was in such a rush to furnish every room right away because I didn’t want to have it looking incomplete, but I got burnt out after about a month of constantly decorating and adding more furniture to other rooms (it gets expensive). Finally, it was the right time to add the last pieces to the living room to complete my vision! Of course at this point everyone has already visited and seen it half done, so I am looking forward to having friends and family over to see the finished look, not to mention sharing it on SMDC today!
I linked just about everything from the photos so you can shop them too (or the most similar I could find), but I obviously missed a few things so if there is an item you love that isn’t linked feel free to send me an email and I will gladly tell you where it’s from! The knick knacks from my shelf are from an assortment of places such as Etsy shops, Target’s Threshold Collection, Lilly for Target, and Hobby Lobby. I am very thrifty so I got a lot of stuff from second hand stores, Craigslist, and local Facebook yard sale pages. I am definitely not above purchasing things from Craigslist, etc and you shouldn’t be either! I get so many compliments on my decor and people are shocked to hear I got things second hand (disclaimer: please don’t meet up with anyone from Craigslist alone or in a private area).  Some Etsy shops to check out are 1921 for calligraphy quote prints & more (I have a C.S. Lewis quote print framed on my shelf), for handmade floral arrangements (I have the handmade clay magnolia on my shelf), and Kaitlin Kendall Design for all things glittery (I have so many things from here). Lastly, I have prints from artists framed in my living room too the Pineapple print on my side table is by  and the two city prints above my tv are by Evelyn Henson!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my space!

Sara

This living room tour is so beautiful. I love the accents of Yellow and grey! You did a magnificent job. I love thrifting for special pieces. And Hobby Lobby is my all time favorite store. I found glass vases for .90 cents and $1. Great posts!!!
