In today’s Gluten Free Friday I’m talking all about one of my favorite grab and go places in Tampa: Fresh Kitchen. There are locations in Hyde Park, St. Pete, and Sarasota. I love that all of their food options are gluten free so I can eat everything there, even the desserts! If I’m going for lunch I usually get a kids bowl which is one base (such as rice, sweet potato noodles, kale slaw and more), one veggie and one protein. If I’m going for dinner when I’m hungrier I opt for the four bowl which has one more base than the kids bowl. I ALWAYS get the sweet potato noodles, they are served chilled and are sautéed in something delicious. I switch up what veggie I get because you can let go wrong with any of them. They are all prepared differently, but they are all delicious. I rotate between the green beans, carrots, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and the mushrooms. For the proteins I love the almond crusted chicken or the tuna poke. I usually get the Parmesan tomatoes (pictured) or the guac as an add on, but I’m thinking I should try their pico de gallo next time. For the sauces since I am a creature of habit I get the holy kale sauce because it reminds me of a mild pesto and it is NOT spicy.
They make a variety of cold pressed juices/drinks which are super yummy. They also have the flavored San pelligrino sparkling sodas (FAVORITE) and they grew yummy fountain drinks and teas in house. Go for the cucumber lemonade!
Their desserts are the highlight of every trip there because their paleo chocolate chip cookies and the zucchini brownies are the most delightful GF treats I’ve ever had.
You can head over to Instagram and drool over their feed @eatfreshkitchen or stop by one of their locations to see for yourself.
Enjoy your weekend loves!

Note: I took my dinner to go and brought it home for the purpose of this post. When you eat in at FK your food is served in a recyclable bowl.
