ONE. UNBELIEVABLE
I looked up the ten most watched Netflix shows of 2019 the other day and I was pleasantly surprised that I had seen the majority of them. One that peaked my interest that I had not yet seen was Unbelievable, an 8 episode limited series. It’s a great true crime series with all female leads. The first few episodes are heartbreaking, especially with the knowledge that it’s based on a true story. It is so fascinating though and worth it to watch to the end! I really hope there is a second season or a part two. It’s in my top five favorite shows ever. Up there in ranks with Parks and Rec, Parenthood, Magicians, and LOST (if you’re curious)!
TWO. AUDIBLE
I’ve used Audible before to listen to an audiobook in the past, but it was a one-off use. I re-downloaded the app before our trip to NYC so that I could listen to Becoming by Michelle Obama on the train into the city (such a good listen)! I am now onto my next audiobook and have three more in my queue. It’s a great addition into my rotation of things I listen to while I work and do chores. I usually listen to music, podcasts, or a mindless tv show in the background while I work, but I was getting bored. Now I wear my headphones and listen to a book while I work or do dishes! If you find the right books to listen to it’s a great way to pass the time. It was a great distraction on long train and plane rides last month!
THREE. SNEAKERS
I have been curating a sneaker collection for a few years now, Z and I both love a good pair of sneakers. I’m not talking about running shoes, I’m talking about fashion sneakers. We have a decent collection going. I haven’t post about them much on here so I wanted to share some of my favorite pairs that I own and that I’m eyeing!
FOUR. STRIP LASHES
I (sadly) got my lash extensions taken off about a month or two ago. I love lash extensions and I’ve had them for years. You can read more about my experience here. I developed an allergy to the glue I think so I had to take a break. I’ve been wearing strip lashes since then and I have tried so many brands and styles. I finally found some that I LOVE. I have the Giselle and the Jules, and I wear the Jules set the most. I am wearing them in the photo at the top of this post! They are so glam and can be worn up to 25 times. You can use my code SARA10 for 10% off your order if you decide to try them (which you totally should).
FIVE. DRYER SHEET ALTERNATIVE
I’ve been trying to eliminate as many chemicals and toxins from our house as possible. I started with switching over cleaning products, skin care, we switched to glass tupperware, the list goes on. I am already allergic to a lot of dryer sheet and detergent brands, but I felt like the ones we were using weren’t the best option. So we switched to the cleanest detergent I could find which is this laundry detergent and we got rid of dryer sheets and switched to wool dryer balls with fragrance oil! The dryer balls last a thousand loads which is way more cost effective than dryer sheets anyways! I add a couple drops of fragrance oil to one of the balls once a week to keep everything smelling fresh.
