If you follow along on Instagram then you saw that Z and I did a little weekend getaway recently to Savannah, GA. We had been there once before but didn’t get as much of a chance to explore. It’s also not that bad of a drive from Tampa and truth be told I really just needed some cooler temps! I was planning for 60s/70s so I packed each of us one light jacket/sweater and only on pair of pants for Z. When we got there it was more like 40/50s, ha! So we had to take Z shopping because I had packed him summer clothes. The weather was DELIGHTFUL though! We just weren’t prepared for it. We also went the weekend before Halloween which was prime time to be there apparently. There were so many cool decorations, ghost tours, costume bar crawls, and the SCAD Film Festival. There was so much going on and it was such a fun time to be in the city.
We were taking an uber home from lunch the first day and our uber driver asked if we were in town for the film festival and we hadn’t even heard of it before so when we got back to our airbnb we looked it up. We ended up buying tickets to see Three Identical Strangers (it’s a must watch if you haven’t seen it) followed by a Q&A with the director. What an awesome experience! Next year we want to go back for it and buy weekend passes so we can go to more of the showings/sessions.
Sometimes it’s incredibly refreshing to get outside of your routine for a couple days to hit the reset button! If you’re interested in reading my Savannah Travel Guide you can find that HERE. I added our stops from our most recent trip to that post too! Enjoy!
