I still have a full wedding post to write in the coming weeks to share all that we have planned for ours so far. In the meantime, I thought I’d share some things I’ve found helpful during planning. There are so many lists, meetings, walkthroughs, showers, and parties during the planning phase. Most of it’s fun, some of it can be daunting but if you have the right people helping you, the right tools for the job and a few things to make it fun then it can be seamless! This will be a hodgepodge of things that I’ve found super helpful if you’re a bride-to-be too!
There are so many details that we have to plan for our wedding weekend. I am very traditional about the wedding ceremony itself which will be in the Church BUT I don’t want to do any of the overdone wedding things. So we were thinking of a creative way to make the guestbook at our wedding be more of a keepsake item. When I came across Mixbook. I saw that they have the option to make a personalized guest book using your own photos! I’m definitely thinking of using one of theirs at our reception so that I can use it as a coffee table book later.
Having everyone’s eyes on me during all of this means that I need to make sure I dot my i’s and cross my t’s. I’ve been trying to eat better (I’m one month into the keto diet, full post to come), take care of my skin, hair, everything! I am trying to be better about making sure my nails are painted! I am generally the worst about this and don’t have time to sit at a salon every week to get a mani. So when I got these Zoya polishes I didn’t know what to expect, but I was genuinely pleased with the quality. I only needed two coats, it went on super smooth, and dried fast! When you’re running around and don’t have time to hit the salon I’d definitely recommend having a bottle of this handy!
I’ve been trying to start buying dresses for showers and the wedding weekend because it’s not something I want to procrastinate. Now, all of my married friends have told me to make sure I have a good set of undergarments for all of the dresses I’ll be wearing at showers and receptions for the wedding. I found this gorgeous lace Bali Bodybriefer that does the trick and works well under most dresses. These things really make the difference making everything looks smooth and polished! I’ve also been wearing these Charles & Colvard Stud Earrings non-stop because they look so classy and go with everything!
If you’re working out in preparation for your wedding (or life in general) this little band is perfect! I’m always worried that I will lose my jewelry in my bag, but now I can just put my ring and earrings in my RingHero, zip it up, and wear them on my wrist. Can’t lose it! This is also a great place to put a house key if you run in your neighborhood.
I hope you found this useful if you’re in the process of planning! I promise to share more details of our wedding soon!
Love,
Sara
